So at this point I have been eating Turkish food for a while I have eaten a different spots all over the city. Yet I still have not had the opportunity to try Rumi. I have to say they were the most authentic that I have had in Pittsburgh. If you want to feel like your in Turkey and you don't have time to fly there, this is the spot. Those of you who haven't had the opportunity to try lahmacun. Need to run here to do so. Think of pizza but like 1000x better. It has this crispy thin crust covered in ground meat that you dress with tomatoes, lemon and parsley. Roll it up and take a bite! You'll be in love! It will be your new favorite thing. I'm not sure the names of the others but the cheesy looking one is an eggplant dish that takes like the best fondue ever! I ordered the mixed grill. Meat was done perfectly and came with cabbage and a side salad which is always my favorite. Honestly their presentation and service was great too! Look how pretty these photos are Plenty of options for plant based or Halal. Highly recommended.

Food is good and service is courteous, prompt and quick. The falafel is excellent and among the best I have had. The chicken kebab was good, the Adana was great. Decor is dated and parking is on the street so it is a hit or miss, but if you want good food and efficient, courteous service, this is the place. Portion sizes were good too. All in all a good experience.

A bit of mixed feeling here. We had a really nice server and the place was near empty for an early weekend brunch. Food looked spectacular and there was so much variety that it was hard choosing what to get. They even threw us a freebie appetizer because we spent over a certain amount, as a new special. My little issue was that they never asked us doneness of the meat, which is fine... international cuisines tend not to. But I thought one of my kebabs was not well cooked and I was a bit disappointed as I'm not a rare meat kind of person. Other stuff was great though, I enjoyed it. However, I'm definitely going to go back to this place and I'm going to try a lot more food here. Very excited about finding this place.

Stopped in on a whim and so glad we did! ordered the mixed grill combo and split it. Wow. Everything on there was just perfect. The dipping sauces, a yogurt/dill and the other spicier something (so good you couldn't pick out an individual flavor!) both so good I could have eaten them with a straw. The favorites were the adana (chicken or lamb...they both were amazing) and the chicken shish. Ordered a pot of hot tea, that was probably the least exciting thing we had. Meh. But wow everything else was perfect!

A very pleasant experience to middle eastern fare. I appreciated the fresh feta on my zucchini fritters and falafel and the Turkish tea pot was a nice touch to a heavily vegetarian menu. The service was very friendly, professional and efficient and the ambiance was lovely and decadent too. One less star because you're relegated to street parking.

It's been a while since I order Turkish food. This place is quite good on all fronts. Yesterday, I had the Kasarli Pide and kunefe for takeout. The portions are fine, but not big. The prices are pretty reasonable. In terms of flavor, the Pide was quite tasty. Don't eat it cold! It is so much more delicious if you warm it up. The Pide I ordered is basic (just feta and mozzarella cheese without any sauce) but quite good. It's more doughy and chewy than your average pizza. I think it would have been better if it was more crispy. Still, the cheese was pretty good (especially when heated) although a bit different than what I'm used to and there even seemed to be cheese inside of the "crust". This has been my first time trying kunefe. The dessert is definitely unique and delicious. The kadayif, or the crispy noodle strands, were my favorite part. Very well soaked and flavorful! However, the cheese itself was a bit strange to me. It didn't add much flavor and could not be stretched. Fair amount of pistachios. Overall, I recommend this place if you are craving Turkish food. If possible, try dining in (or if you do take out, heat up your food!)

Came to Pittsburgh over the weekend to see our daughter's University of Pittsburgh choice concert and was looking for a spot close by to campus and with an ethnic flare. Had heard good things about this restaurant and wanted to give them a try. When we arrived, there were only a few folks inside (it was early for dinner) so we were seated immediately and the server began taking our orders. We decided to do our usual thing and order" family style" so that maximum sharing and tastings could occur. Our table's order consisted of falafel, baba ghanoush, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), and two dinner platters (one gyro and one shish kabob). Their falafels had a unique shape to them, were fried and served warm with a bright yellow hummus for dipping. Everyone agreed that the hummus was outstanding! Not sure what was in it to give it that color and zip of added flavor. The baba ghanoush (an eggplant based dip) was very smokey and filling, spooned out onto freshly grilled pita, of which several baskets were provided. The dolmades were served cold (not my favorite style), but had a very lemony and creamy rice filling within the grape leaves. I appreciated the extra lemon wedges provided as I love that extra bit of tartness on this dish. The chicken and beef shish kabob platter came with grilled cubes of each protein (consensus was that the chicken was better than the beef) alongside shredded pickled red cabbage, seasoned white onion slices and both a red (slightly spicy) dipping sauce and a tzatziki style creamy dill sauce. Accompanying the dish were both a small side salad and a large scoop of rice pilaf. The gyro platter came with chopped slices of beef and lamb meat alongside the same mix of veggies and rice. It was fun to take the large triangular pieces of warm pita and make up little wrap style sandwiches with different ingredient / flavor combinations...made for a fun eating adventure! This place was very reasonably priced and the food quality right where you'd expect. Hope we get the chance to return and try other items off their extensive menu!

Yummy! Food was absolutely delicious!! Everything is fresh, yummy and of good quality. The presentation was even better. Appetizers: They have the best falafel I have ever had. The salad and sauce was also yummy. Main: The combo platter is the perfect idea for two people. The french fries, the meat and bread were so good. Desert: Baklava was just okay. Parking: can be a little tough. It's still worth it! I HIGHLY recommend!

Absolutely delicious Turkish food! They have a wide variety of middle eastern appetizers and grilled meat at a reasonable price. My partner and I tried once and decided to have our rehearsal dinner here. It's BYOB and has space for large groups.
